Kids / Family Fishing

Take your kid fishing, along with up to three (3) guests, for an introductory sea-perience (fishing, boating, and sight-seeing) that keeps you within sight of land (inshore and up to as far as 1 mile offshore). Though, we tend to stay inshore with parties greater than four (4) people due to safety precautions, depending on child age.

Total fishing time is roughly 1 to 1.5 hours (and a minimum of 2 hours of total water time) which gives you and your child enough time to see the ocean or intercoastal waterway, get a feel for being on a boat, and of course, catch fish. The trip will offer either trolling or bottom fishing depending on what kid-friendly fish is biting. It is also very common to see dolphins on this trip, and the occasional sea turtle depending on the season.

Trips offered 7 days a week, year-round (as long as the fish are around!). For the best fishing dates, please make reservations well in advance. Contact Captain to decide on mutually agreed upon time of departure.

Your family is our family. And family is everything.

Just like with my own children, my commitment to get families on a boat extends to fostering experiences for youngsters to enjoy the water, engage in fishing, and immerse themselves in the wonders of nature. By encouraging youth to explore nature, we can reduce the time they spend glued to screens, or potentially getting into trouble with negative influences. And we can cultivate character, instill patience, and promote a sense of environmental stewardship through outdoor activity—all while building lifelong memories.

NEARSHORE FISHING

Fish the nearshore waters off Oak Island, and reefs and hard/live bottoms out a couple miles from our Inlets, using a combination of trolling and live and dead bait methods. We'll be just close enough to shore to not scare the crap out of mom, and just far enough to find bigger fish (1-9 miles out). Targets and catches vary by season and patterns.
